Financial Compass Group was founded in late 2005 after being affiliated with the Triple Check franchise for 15 years.  We provide business consulting for small and medium sized businesses.  Over the years our firm has grown to fit the needs of our clients.  Today we provide complete accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, tax, tax compliance, tax representation, business consulting, and financial planning services.  With our staff of full-time employees, we are large enough to handle all your needs, yet small enough to give you the direct personal attention you deserve.  We're here to help you make the right business decisions.

Don G. Walters  Don uses his 38+ years of strong background in business operations, marketing and consulting to assist clients in expanding their profitability.  Don has been in the tax business since 1970.  He is enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.  This enrollment makes him part of a select few who can represent clients in all fifty states before all levels of the Internal Revenue.  As Enrolled Agents (E.A.s), he is highly qualified to assist clients with all tax matters, including tax planning, estate planning, audit representation and tax preparation.  For more information about what an Enrolled Agent is Click Here.

Paula Walters  Paula oversees the administrative functions of the firm.  While using her long background in bookkeeping and payroll to assist clients in all regards of their businesses.  Along with raising Don and Paula's four children, she enjoys sharing the time of their two granddaughters.

Randy Bogue  Randy has been with the firm since 2000.  Randy is a native of Shasta County and when its not tax season, you will find Randy out on the river as a Fishing Guide.  It must be nice, inside in the winter and gets to enjoy the summer outside.  Randy has a BS degree from Chico State in business field.  Before coming to work here, he worked for several CPA firms here in Redding.  Randy also helps with Foothills Boys Golf Team, and has coached Girls Basketball.  He is an avid Golfer.

Paula Day  Paula has been with us for several years.  She handles most of the Payroll accounts, but has done bookkeeping and been a tax checker whenever needed.  Paula can do about anything you ask of her.

Carol Schmidt  Carol has been with us for 10 years as our Bookkeeper.  She is really kept business doing all of the bookkeeping for all of our clients.  She has been in the bookkeeping field most of her work life.  However, she worked for H and R Block for one tax season, but really didn't like it.
